About Gudur

Gudur is a Historical Town , the roots of the town started during Chola Dynasty. Satavahanas, Pallavas, TeluguChodas, Kakatiyas, Vijayanagara kings and Golkonda nawabs ruled this area.

Gudur town which is famously known as “Mica Town“. Mica belt around Gudur is the 2nd biggest in the country. It is also famous for Lemon, Aquaculture and Agriculture. A new land mark is the Narayana Engineering College (NEC), known for its Educational Standards and facilities.

Narayana Engineering College is located in Gudur, which is in between Nellore and Chennai. The Institution is 135 km north of Chennai and 38 km South of Nellore on NH 5. The nearest Air port is Chennai, 2 hours drive away.

About the Institute

Narayana Engineering College was established in the year 2001 with the avowed goal to build a top level Technical Institution of Excellence that is capable of producing high caliber engineering professionals needed in the nation building.
The Institute, affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, offers four year undergraduate course leading to B. Tech. degree in the following disciplines:

1. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
2. Electronics and Communication Engineering
3. Computer Science and Engineering
4. Information Technology

The teaching and learning process at Narayana Engineering College aims at a wholesome development of the student both on knowledge and ethical aspects. The Institute lays strong emphasis on discipline and maintains a tradition of rapport with parents. The conduct and the performance of the students are closely monitored.
